hi there chef here are my answers to your assignments...

"What drives me to become a chef?"

The world of Hospitality Industry is indeed very broad. It has a lot of divisions and partitions. We have the service department, kitchen department, maintenance department and a lot more. But then it gives one level of service and it has one purpose and that it to satisfy its customers and clients, for without it we couldn’t enjoy wonderful hotels, relaxing cafes and more. Honestly what I really wanted to become is not a chef in particular but a singer, but there is no particular course on that so in replacement I took the course my mother finished when she was in college. It is not much of a Culinary Course where people really master cooking but it’s more of a hospitality and managing course. After a few months I started to like it. I started to embrace it and I feel like it really suits my personality. I’m really not into cooking but I love to learn how to cook well because what I really wanted in particular is to be a barista. I don’t eat a lot but I do enjoy eating delicious foods (by the way who doesn’t). And so that is one reason why I do wanted to be a chef because my mom cooks well, both of my grandma cooks well, and my dad likes good food, so I want to challenge myself to be good in the kitchen so that I can satisfy their taste buds and so I can make them happy. Another reason is when I watch a cooking show I get inspired how chefs get to cook so gracefully that just by watching them I feel full already, and by that sometimes I imagine myself in that show giving a new recipe to my avid viewers and inspiring a lot of people who loves cooking the same way that I do. I love how chefs present food inn a way they let your eyes eat first but trigger all of your senses when you taste it because it tastes really good. Watching them is so much fun and inspiring. That is one more reason what drives me to become a chef. Last reason but I think the most important for me, is that someday somehow I wanted to be a hotel and restaurant magnate, and I think being a chef in this industry is a big advantage because I can understand my business well and I can run it smoothly. I wanted to become a chef or a barista so that I can take care of my restaurants, hotels and cafes well at the same time enjoying myself and fulfilling my dreams.

for the second question...

"What do i want to learn and my expectations?"

When I enrolled here in my school the course FBA and now I’m continuing it to a BS HRM course basically what I wanted to master is all about restaurant and hotels and anything related to it. It is very expensive to take a separate course on culinary, coffee art, managing a hotel etc. etc. so what I did is to have it in one course since it’ll be tackled but not thoroughly. At least the essence is still the same. But in particular what I wanted to learn is about coffee. Latte Art, origins, so on and so forth, because like I said I really wanted to have my own cafĂ© someday and I wanted it personalized and be known worldwide. And for our teacher, I just have one expectation, since he is chef, of course he knows a lot of things and he is an expert on many culinary skills and things, I just want him to do his best to impart us his knowledge as much as he can and in return us students will also do our best to compromise with his skills, appreciate all his efforts and most especially learn a lot.

for the last question that's due tomorrow...

"What angers customers?"

Dining in a restaurant whether it is a fast food chain or a five star fine dining restaurant, the things that angers customers are almost the same. In a fast food, that’s why it called a fast food because you wanted to have your fast and so the service should be fast. In a fine dining restaurant the time preparation should be reasonable to what has bee ordered. Another reason is poor service especially in a five star restaurant, you are paying so much because you are paying their good service but then if they fail that is a major chaos. Another reason is that food served must be reasonable to its price and lastly food should be served appropriately based on its kind.

Now... where do i want to go for a field trip?
well, nothing in particular but most probably in resorts or food manufacturing businesses or a coffee farm. because through that i can achieve my goals and i can learn on many things that i would like to accomplish. when we get to visit those places i would be able to learn on the things that would help me in the future at the same time enjoying myself. through that i would gain experiences that can be an advantage to my future profession and it can be an advance learning for me that can help me a lot in my future plans... that's it...

"what drives me to become a chef"..
Since I was in elementary,I already loves to cook.I started to like it when my father and my mother starts a business of cooking and selling foods. They cook but not just to earn money but for the people who likes their cooked food.I knew it because they are really good in cooking. It's really delicious.I was inspired to become like them.To cook foods that people will surely like and look for.I know the feeling when you are inside the kitchen and preparing foods for your love ones.It really makes me happy and worry free because when I cook,my mind only focus on what I'm doing.I forgot all my problems. And my only goal is to make tham impress with what I prepared for them.I want them to smile while having their meals. It brings me so much happiness in my heart. That's the reason why I decided to go for a work in a fast food restaurant after graduated on highschool.I am also interested with the books of recipes and most of all, watching programs about cooking because with that I learn so much. From preparing of the ingredients up to the making of the presentation of the foods.Sometimes I take down notes on how can I make the foods presentable and delicious.
